Just something I did for myself. What with the most recent commission and a certain spiritual successor that flew harder then a lead balloon, the NiGHTS series has been on my brain again. In particular the character of NiGHTS' sibling/rival/evil twin trope, Reala. As is what seems to be the case, Reala is another in a long list of characters' whose design never sat well with me. Not that it was bad, but it just never felt on par with NiGHTS' more solid and polished look. There always felt like something was missing and don't even get me started on that awful bandaged, samurai, masquerade look from Journey of Dreams!

So... I did what I always do. Drew him the way I wanted! Something that gives him the same flare and dignity of NiGHTS' newer look, while also opposing his more fun and whimsical side. This may be something I come back to to spruce up, but as is it's definitely preferable over both looks Reala's had in the past; to me anyway. As always, I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. Just giving my own personal shot at a character. The original is perfectly fine just not entirely my cup of tea!
