the design process i went though with making my new ears.
started off watching how my cats ears moved then tried remaking their natural design in my mind.
started off with paper and a few folds and cuts to give it the basic shape.
eventually made the design better with the second paper, this one had cuts in it, but only to help it bend easier.
the 3rd paper design is the one i stuck with, no cuts, only folds.
one virtical valley fold, and a northwest/southeast 45degree valley fold, and a south west 45 degree mountain fold only on one corner of the paper.
that worked quite nicely, "
i desided to make it out of sturdier material and used plastic mesh(stuffs amazing btw)
i made the pieces and attached them together with pull ties, it worked quite well, though in the final version i'll prolly use string of some sort, or maybe even hot glue and make the hard sections double thick and the bending points only single thick.
i attached another pulltie to pull on the ear form which gives it the noce turning bend.
here is a video of the movine final version of plastic mesh.

I'll prolly perfect this and fur it sometime in the near future.

i actually had someone who knew an effects artist leave a comment saying(the effect guy) that i did really good work and thats what they look for in those kinda jobs.

That's when the bunnies developed a severely more complex arm and bipedal movement, only to first stab Charles Darwin's successor, who was easily mistaken for an evil human whilst studying these evolutionary oddities, causing the rest of humanity to declare a true war on these bunnies because just like little children, it's all about who started it and there's no clear answer anymore.

[Spoiler alert!] Wolves win in the end.

I wanted to do something like that with my fox ears later, though I was a bit concerned about wear and tear if it was to bend a lot. I may pick up on it later once I know how I'm going make the joints in side durable. Right now my biggest challenge is my blinking eyes ;)
Hope it works for you.
