Hermaphroditus, god of Hermaphroditism, Effeminacy, and Androgyny. I think I am most proud of this one out of all of them. I wanted to encompass the ideal of both sexes but at the same time trying to respect the subject matter as well. The colours one would assume are for "both" sexes, however the blue in fact more represents the origin of Hermaphroditus more than the sex itself. He was born a handsome boy whom a naiad or river nymph Salmacis fell in love with. Salmacis prayed that the two of them would be united as one thus a god answered her prayer and did just that, merging the two into one creating the first hermaphrodite. "His" name is compounded of his parents' names, Hermes and Aphrodite. So the blue represents the I assume blue-skin of a naiad. And pink was not always a "girl's" colour in fact throughout much of pink's existence it was considered a masculine colour, because it derived from red which was considered masculine to. It was only in the last oh 100 years or so that pink transitioned into a female considered colour.
