Just a quick comparison to demonstrate the difference between rendering in Eevee (top) and Cycles (bottom).

Eevee in Blender terms stands for Extra Easy Virtual Environment Engine. Neat, eh?

it's a backronym- they named it after the pokemon in the first place, but it was just a small viewport project at the time, and they didn't anticipate worldwide use in production. ironically, just like pokemon, which was never intended to be so big.
