In the former river port of Milton, Florida lies the Blackwater river. The water is so dark you can’t see anything into the depths beyond the surface. It was discovered by the Spanish way back in the 1700s. The railroad swing bridge here is a point of contention among the locals. The new shortline that was formed to run it (the Florida, Gulf, & Atlantic Railroad) refuses to repair the inoperable swing bridge after hurricane Michael. Meaning all rail traffic on either end of the bridge is ferried over CSX lines further north. Prior to Michael the line here was also CSX.
