The ladies are beautiful. But you know I have eyes really for the gents, and when they're dressed like this in such fine, tailored white tie... Oh my. It's difficult to see anything else. I'd say 'hard' but then you'd probably start reading things into it. Though you'd probably be right... *ahem*
Looking forward to reading the story. Makes me keen to get back on with mine, from the same era. But, well, I suspect not quite so refined, at least at the beginning.

All right! Let's see if I could identify all the characters now.
From left to right:
1) Ottokar von Bronzeberg
2) Anthony Lupo (this one gave me horrors to indentify, while he was my first guess, the "gangster" look made me think of Booskie. I'm still not certain, but looking at this pic's key words made my decision for me)
3) Jane Goodbody
4) Pierce Goodbody (My initial pic for Anthony Lupo, but this guy is blatantly a fox, it's a bit odd that he's featured on the title card but the story isn't completed yet so it's not established whether he's one of the protagonists. Of course, this could just be based on the events of Episode I where all of the characters on this pic -assuming I'm correct- having dinner together)
5) Agnes Fogg
We'll see if my assessment is correct.
