In the back of my property is a pond which over the years has become inundated with invasive weeds, grass, mud, leaves, so it was really more of a marsh or a bog. During the lockdown last year I decided to clear out the south corner...BY HAND.
Literally, literally.....LITERALLY Thousands upon thousands of pounds of GRASS WEEDS BRANCHES LEAVES MUD MUCK GLOOP GLOP all removed by hand one clump at a time, one weed at a time, just me and my shovel, sometimes up to my waist in murky waters. I built the dock with scrap lumber and whatever I had laying around. Total cost: $7
But it was all worth it because Briar Fox really loves his fishing dock. Looks like he got a bite! But not like last time I hope.
