It was a fateful day, the day the Avengers failed to stop Thanos, and the Mad Titan managed to get rid of half of the universe with a snap of the Infinity Gauntlet. But not just humanity suffered losses. Several wolves from all around the world lost loved ones, too.
That same day, in Jasper Park, Canada, Kate and Humphrey’s pups, Claudette, Stinky and Runt were playing out of their cave, but when their parents came to look for them, they were gone! Kate’s parents, Winston and Eve had also disappeared!
Also in Canada, White Fang the wolf-dog had a loving reencounter with his mother, Kiche, but the joy was short lived, because Kiche vanished in front of her son’s eyes.
In Russia, Grey the Wolf returned home after a day of work to eat with his wife Bianca, but she was nowhere to be seen. He had also noticed that most of the sheep and wolves from the village were gone.
In Japan, Gabu and Mei were happily playing at the woods, but suddenly, the wolf lost sight of his goat friend.
In Nome, Alaska, Balto the wolf-dog was sleeping in his home, while Aleu and her mother Jenna were having a talk while looking at the sea, when all of a sudden, Aleu went to tell her father that her mother vanished at her side. Boris, Muk and Luk had disappeared, too!
In Australia, Freddy Lupin the werepoodle was having a walk with his best friend Batty, when suddenly, she was no longer by his side!
In Ireland, the WolfWalkers, Robyn Goodfellowe, her father Bill Goodfellowe, Mebh Óg MacTíre and her mother Moll MacTire were going on a hunt along with their Wolf Pack, but suddenly, Robyn’s father vanished in front of their eyes, and so did half of the wolves accompanying Robyn, Mebh and Moll!
Shortly after that day, a weakened and malnourished Tony Stark was lost in space, along with Nebula, the adoptive daughter of Thanos. Both were in the ship of the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Milano, and had run out of food and water. Their oxygen was going to run out, too, next day in the morning. It seemed like there was no hope left for them… or was it?
Suddenly, a beaming light appeared in front of them. It was… Aniu, Balto’s mother. She happened to be a very powerful wolf spirit, that brought the Milano back to Earth. She also magically gathered all of the previously mentioned wolves at the Avengers’ Headquarters.
While Tony was being held hospitalized and sedated, the rest of the Avengers were investigating where Thanos went after achieving his goal. Nebula knew of his location. She said that Thanos told her that once his plan was complete, they would retire to a place called The Garden. The Avengers also found out that Thanos had snapped his fingers once again two days ago, at that planet. Then, they thought they could snatch the six Infinity Stones from Thanos and use them to bring everyone back.
So, boarding the Milano, the Avengers and their new wolf companions travelled across the space toward the Garden, willing to fight Thanos and retrieve the Infinity Stones. Much to their surprise, Thanos wasn’t heavily armed, nor had an army waiting for them. He had retired to live as a farmer in that planet. When he was making a stew from his crops, Thanos was suddenly attacked by superheroes and wolves, who immobilized him, allowing the Mighty Thor to cut his left arm off. However, they found out the Gauntlet no longer had the stones! When Black Widow asked where the stones were, Thanos answered that he had already been destroyed them when he used them two days ago, leaving him badly injured and with half of his body scorched. At first they thought he was lying, but Nebula said that among all things her father was, a liar wasn’t one of them. Thanos thanked his daughter, admitting he had been very harsh with her, but an enraged Thor aimed for his head… too late. Defeated, the Avengers and the wolves left the Garden.
