Gaia Anneke Cortex (née Newell) is the wife of Dr. Neo Cortex. Dr. Cortex first met her through an online dating site. The two hit it off right away, and immediately fell in love with each other.

After a whirlwind romance, Dr. Cortex proposed to Gaia on Christmas Eve, where he had kissed her for the first time in his life. Months later, the two got married on the most romantic day of the year — Valentine’s Day (February 14th).

Several months later (in October), Gaia found out she was pregnant, which they later found out was a girl. On April 11th, days before Gaia’s 37th birthday, she gave birth to a daughter which she and Dr. Cortex named Novalee, who they call Nova for short.

Gaia and Dr. Cortex have been together for three years, and are still going strong, even when Gaia is currently expecting a baby boy.
