I honestly had a lot of fun writing this one and its probably one of my favorite parts of Raths backstory. And I really hope you have as much fun reading while I had writing. ((Also, this might still include some grammar mistakes since I am tired as fuck, sorry dor that But its just personal stuff and no cimmission so its not too bad anyways ^^))
“You should move on you know?” She told me, running her ghostly fingers through the fur on my back, up to my plated scales on the back of my head. “But… How could I… give up on you?” I asked her, tears in my eyes, looking at my furry love. She smiled and gently wiped my tears away. With a quick cold kiss, she vanished from my sight. I took a deep breath and took a look at the old book in my laps. It was bound in leather and looked very old. I flipped it around a few times, looking for some title or any engraving at all. There was none. I opened it. The first page was blank. So was the second, but not the third. Even though, after years, many years, the pages had hardened and had gotten a yellow color, they were fine. No scratches, tears, nothing. Besides their age, the book seemed to be in perfect condition. The text on the first page immediately revealed why. Nordic Runes, written with black ink, spelled out the simple word: Magic. Below it, in my language and in Latin, the Runes were translated. “Magic…” I whispered to myself. I flipped the page and kept reading, suspicious and skeptical, yet intrigued. “Every being who dares to learn this magic, should at first, cast these four simple spells on themselves.” Was written in red ink, like a warning, or an important note. Below it, the four spells were listed, yet again with black ink. It was handwritten, yet every letter was near identical. Curious, I flipped all the pages and read through the very last ones. My heart made a jump. “Chapter 18: Resurrection Spell” was the caption in a beautifully designed and decorated writing style with purple ink. Below it, once again in black ink, there was a description. After reading the first line, my faith got shattered immediately. The spell would only work, if the victim would be dead for not longer than one day. Otherwise, reuniting the soul and the body could literally break it, murdering not just the body once more, but also the soul. “Luna…” I whispered. She was the only one I cared about by now. She was the only one worried about me. The only one that took care of me, helped me… she was the only one, that was there for me. So, I swore to protect her. “Fine… I will move on…” I said and flipped back to the first pages and started to follow the instructions to cast the 4 spells. Not once… not twice… but 100 times. 100 times, I strengthened my scales, my instincts, and my own strength. It took time. But the simple promise of being able to protect anyone I cared about from now on, kept me going. Hours had passed. “100…” I finally said and slapped the book closed. I took a deep breath and placed it next to me. Somewhat curious, I got up and turned around. I picked up a rock and looked at the grey lifeless rock behind me that went up higher into the air until it disappeared into the clouds. I made out a spot and raised my arm. Then, I threw the rock at the mountain wall. It was spot on and shattered into millions of pieces. It left a crater behind in the wall that was about as big as my own head. I gave it another throw, an even harder one. This time, before I could even take a look at the crater, I realized that I somehow managed to barely keep any balance from the immense strength I had put into that throw. I tripped and fell off the cliff. But already while tripping, I had my wings in the perfect position to not fall, but glide. I made a loop around the spot I was standing on and landed exactly where I had been standing before. Impressed by myself I looked at my feet. “Wow… that was cool.” I said, somehow a bit amused. Then, I looked up at the wall. The new crater was about five times the size of the old one. It even had engulfed the one entirely. I picked the book back up and read another note again, to make sure I had understood it correctly. I had. It stated that these effects would be permanent. “Hmm… I maybe shouldn’t go too far… otherwise… I might just hurt someone on accident…” I decided after a moment and flipped another page. “Chapter 1: Shield Spell” was the caption. It described a momentary shield that could be either casted on myself or someone with a small delay or instantaneously with precautions. The only thing that had to be done was casting the spell “Signum” accompanied with a clear gesture to either myself or someone else. Thinking about whoever would get the shield was also recommended. “Signum!” I said and looked at my body. Nothing changed. I picked up another rock and gently lobbed it into the air. Before it could fall back onto my head, I tapped my own chest. There was a blue flash and nothing again in the next moment. The rock fell back and down at me. Just before it hit me, a pattern of blue hexagons appeared above me and the rock got blown up into dust as it hit.

Ahhhhhh, I did not think of that.
Hopefully this war will end soon.
I do believe that the only reason why that leader guy, I dunno how to spell his name, only waited to invade as long as he did was because of the Olympic's.
He knew that if he invaded during the Olympic's then the whole world would turn against him. He knew that interrupting the Olympic's wouldn't be in his favor. So he waited.
Then again I could be spouting nonsense. Am just saying why I think he didn't invade during the Olympic's. Oo.
