So I spent both Saturday and Sunday at the PA Ren Faire with friends. Inspired to make simple meals that don't use modern tech ... I present ... my desk and closet! Oh, and the recipe for the food. Yes I cheated and used premade items, but inspired none the less. :) HUZZAH!
Ingredients:
1 can large biscuits
2 cups cheese of choice, shredded (Monterey/Cheddar blend here)
1/2 lb deli meat of choice, sliced (Tavern ham used here)
1 egg white
1 tbsp water
Italian seasoning blend
Garlic powder
Marinara Sauce (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to the temp recommended on the biscuit dough.
Pop the can of biscuits and separate, allow to sit for up to 5 min. Flatten out the dough to make the crust.
Sprinkle a few tbsp of cheese and shredded meat onto the crust, don't overdo it or you'll break the dough in the next step.
Fold the dough over and press the sides together tightly (as you can see, one didn't get pressed as tight as it should have).
Mix the egg white and water together in a bowl. Brush on top of the folded dough.
Sprinkle some garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and left over cheese (if any).
Bake for about 7-10 min until golden brown on top. Serve with heated marinara sauce if you like!
Now to go nurse my sunburns some more. Seriously, I'm not white, I'm porcelain. I burn. I used SPF 50 ... they need to make an SPF Bird. I don't like being crispy!

*** From Chris: For a cooking temp, we certainly recommend baking these at 350 - 375 F (or 176 C - 190 C)
