*chuckles* No, that's not my real dad, though my real dad did like to read the newspaper every night. :)
My old website was www.furnation.com/lionus and probably still has most of my old work there. Furnation was VERY good to me and I will have nothing but good things to say about it and the folks behind the scenes who ran it.

Yup. I sometimes (?) play on sentimental notes in my works. I think that I should. Because if I can get one person to "remember" someone important in thier lives with one of my artworks, then maybe I've made the world just a teeny bit better with my talents.
Nobody should EVER set themselves up to someday think, "Gee, I wish I had told him/her how much they meant to me."

Heh, you don't know what you are letting yourself in for, RJ. :) I have boxes of old sketches and drawings. Mercifully I have enough sense and a big enough leash on my artistic ego to realize that not all of those hundreds of pieces of paper are worth showing. :D
But as an amusement for those who have me on their watch lists I will post one or two old drawings or sketches now and again to show you where the lion's mind wanders. :)

Yes, that is probably just what this Dad would be thinking when you hesitantly approached him with your head hanging a bit guilty and your hands nervously behind your back. Heh, Dads have the ability of saying quite a lot with just a look.
But as bad as the next few moments might be – confessions are always terrible ordeals – you know that he will still love you despite everything.

*laughs* Thank you very much, Stevenc. That's a very kind compliment.
I don't know if you are familure with old Star Trek TV series, but there was an episode where Captain Jim Kirk ordered the ship's doctor, Doctor McCoy to save an alien creature that was mostly made out of rock. The doctor replied, half out-raged and half scared of the pancake-shaped creature; "Darn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a brick-layer!!"
I feel the same way about writing. I'm more of an artist than I am a writer. I have tried some writing, but I really don't have the patience to honestly put into a really good story or any length. But then again, maybe some day.
Thank you again for the very nice compliment
