Indeed. Ninetails is arguably the hardest boss in the game, and definitely had the best story build-up. Whereas a lot of the other bosses feel like you're going after them simply out of your godly duty, with Ninetails it's a lot more in response to all the vile acts committed, and more of a genuinely crafted hatred towards the demon as a hero than just, "Must defeat Ninetails because bad guy."
