I just love when I get to the end of a project. Here is the blue and teal snow leopard head I’ve been working on to sell on furbuy.com along with matching tail.
Right now the head is 99% complete the paint the pic is still wet so I cant brush the head yet which is why it looks so dark and chunky looking. Once its dry I’ll brush it then check if it needs any touch ups then put it up for auction along with tail.

I use acrylic resin (Easy Cast: clear casting epoxy made by CASTIN’CRAFT you should be able to get it at most hobby stores) and pour it into a shallow circular mold. If the mold is to deep(spherical when you put the two together) the following effect doesn’t work as well. Then once set pop them out of the mold (you’ll need 4) using more of the acrylic resin as glue stick two of them together to form a “flat” sphere. To paint start with the pupil on the back of the eye blank then if desired add the white of the eye. The last part should be the colored iris. I use acrylic paints because if my eyes are a little crooked when painting I can just wipe them clean with a wet paper towel and start over again until I get it right.
One thing to keep in mind is that the eye blanks work as a natural magnifying glass due to its curved shape so if you make the pupil to big on the back it will look almost twice the size on the front. So start off with a tiny pupil you can always make it bigger.
