It looks to me like in the female version, you went in on the inks and drew breasts over the pectorals, which came out great, but it looks like you didnt do anything to make the hips look more feminine. There's more fat there in women, thus giving girls their curves :3 I mean, if you're going for a very slim look, that's good too, but it just snagged at my head, yanno? ;_;

nonono thankyou, I really appreciate the critique! :D I totally think you're right too lol. I accidentally gave these guys kinda long torsos. I went and rounded the hip on her but...I think I just relined what I'd had before, because it doesn't look any different! XD

Essentially what I am thinking of is that there are 3 scenarios this could come about:
1.) It was a purposeful genetic modification.
2.) It was a circumstancial mutation (This is what I'm going with in my short story) X3
3.) It was a naturally occuring evolution due to extreme environmental changes, namely a severe decline in temperature.
There are other reason yes, but I think those three are the most likely to bring about a body that seems unnatural but also with much practical use. ^^
I think this style of creature would have to have an extremely high metabolism also in order to need such a large second mouth. It would need the extra food. I think therefore the "tailmouth" habitat of origin would be a cold forested one, possibly with mountains. Plus because of the high metabolism they would always be skinny. A fat tailmouth just couldn't be unless it had some extreme sickness or cancer. The females wouldn't have breasts larger than a B cup either.
I think the basic anatomy of the tail is that it would be a large muscular tube ( like an esophogaus) connected to the middle back by a series of strong muscles, an extension of the spine, and by a gullet with a sphincter muscle connecting to a secondary stomach. the mouth would have a crushing power to rival a crocoodile and would be disguised to prey by all the covering, shaggy fur.
It would have a bone structure like an oblong simple skull too, since it would need that structural support. Plus a tongue is necessary to taste the food, and olfactory senses too since the second mouth has no eyes or other ways of sensing prey. Therefore a pair of miniature lungs, kind of like an air bladder, would be located in a pouch near the saliva glands of the tail's tongue.
I think overall a tailmouth creature of your or my design would be between 5 to 7 feet tall, skinny (as I said before), with a dense muscle and bone structure. The brain would have thicker sensory lobes, and the heart would have more chambers to compensate for the extra complex appendage. Or there would be two hearts. There would be a combonation of stomachs, the small one the normal mouth is connected to, the big one the tailmouth is connected to, and then a third one where the food is broken down as much as it can be and is assualted by natural enzymes that kill harmful bacteria before it is digested fully.
The anatomy can vary as much as it wants for the person with their own creature. This above is closest to the version I'm sticking to. XD Or you can completely discount it since it IS a fantasy. X3
