I'm curious how these robot limbs are supposed to work. You can just slip them on out of a box, like clothes? No surgery needed to attach them?

I know that. But I got the impression from this and other pics by Fauvfox, that these limbs were going on characters who were able-bodied, which would require surgery (or some other handwave for where the existing limbs went, like nanobots or something).

I'm way overthinking this, of course. I'm just a weirdo who likes hearing the narratives behind pieces like this, no matter how contrived they may be.
