Back in December 2020, I started doing character design practice as a way for me to shake out of an art block and to warm up to doing commissions. Eventually my mind went to doing a tactical rpg ala Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics etc, with furry characters.

I'd like to try and make it some day, but for the time being, here are the character designs I've been making on the weekends for fun!

Another cleaned up concept! This one changed a lot from the original design. I still wanted to have a female sheep archer but she was originally much more lithe and shy looking, I figured I already had a bunch of characters like that so I wanted one to be more cheerful and outgoing.

I didn't want to have all of the female or feminine coded characters to all be slim waifs, so I thought a small yet big fluffy outgoing sheep would help get some different bodytypes in there!

I originally used more realistic colours but I decided to push a more cherry/strawberry colour scheme with the reds, pinks and creams.
