:) Genetics! These guys have two recessive color mutations - one that knocks out black pigment, and one that knocks out white pigment. The mother is a snow corn so she is "homozygous" for both mutations. I bred her to two fathers who also had those mutations... so you get babies of each kind of mutation (normal, no red, no black, and no red or black)

There aren't any simple pattern mutations in this batch, though. Any pattern variance is from either the environment or more subtle genetics.
