Back in December 2020, I started doing character design practice as a way for me to shake out of an art block and to warm up to doing commissions. Eventually my mind went to doing a tactical rpg ala Shining Force, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics etc, with furry characters.

I'd like to try and make it some day, but for the time being, here are the character designs I've been making on the weekends for fun!

I wanted to do a charming devil/lovable bastard/ big bad wolf kind of character my mind went to drawing them with a really long coat.


I went with a grey wolf and gave him an eye patch and a red eye to differentiate with our other wolf characters, to imply some sinister edge to him but added in the snaggle tooths to give him that charm. I then used that red eye colour to add a highlight colour to stitching across his clothes to add break out of the fairly dark clothing scheme.


Ultimately I think I designed fantasy Wolf O'Donnell, haha
