I'm having too much fun experimenting with these! Attempted sculpting my Guild Wars 2 charr guardian last night, and then painting over the render! Sculpted in Blender, painted in Photoshop.
Will post the unpainted render in scraps shortly!

Thanks for your kind words! I actually studied 3d animation in school, but this is the first time I've had the opportunity to try digital sculpting. :D I used to do fairly simple/basic polygonal modeling and some animation in Maya and Blender many years ago, and gradually stopped due to time (could only really focus on 2d or 3d) - I always wanted to try digital sculpting (like with zBrush), but never had the hardware capable of running the programs. I'm really excited that Blender's sculpting tools run so well on my machine!
It looks like DA's animation submissions aren't working anymore (at least it isn't playing on my computer), but this is what I have up there:
Kiwimon (was a very basic walk animation, but only the thumbnail might be visible now): https://www.deviantart.com/landylac.....-WIP-199655840
Fox: https://www.deviantart.com/landylac...../fox-199420575
I also really liked making small clay sculptures in real life years ago (they were again very simple), and would have loved to kept making them, but also gradually stopped due to time - it feels really great to feel like I'm sculpting again. :)

Oh that's really cool! I'm glad you had the chance to try it and hopefully continue to have the time! :D I briefly spent some time in high school learning Maya, but that didn't end up going anywhere haha; I definitely want to spend more time with Blender, it's amazing how much better the resources to learn this stuff has gotten.
And I was able to get the Kiwimon to work in Ruffle, nice work 😁

Thank you, I hope so too! I highly recommend Blender, I've always had a soft spot for the program because the development team behind it is so cool - really love how it's open source. It runs better than Maya in some ways, too! Oh, and definitely - it amazes me too how much more in-depth the resources for Blender are now. It's the best time it's ever been to dive in to the program!
The interface is also much better than the last time I used Blender (I can't remember which version, but the current version is significantly different from when I last used it). It's much more streamlined, and easier to figure out where things are without needing to look up things as often.
Oh that's awesome! I haven't seen the animation myself in many years, I imagine it is probably pretty clunky, haha! I'm glad you were able to view it! :D
