One of these things is not like the others... XD
I'm so lucky to have caught a nice shot of this little one yawning!
Lots more photos, but I'll give y'all a little break XD

Severe impaction.
Horrible way to die. It's what happens when you feed your snakes on a loose substrate they swallow parts of the substrate as well as the food but can't pass the substrate so it builds up and builds up until they can't eat or digest and eventualy it can cause complete organ failure or even cause the stomach and intestines to rupture and burst open.
Very very painful way to go i'm so sorry.

Hmm, I'm not sure which one you're looking at XD The head to (our) right of the yawning snow is an amel, possibly going to shed soon so a bit more faded. There does seem to be a bit of color variation on the amels, though, I'm hoping to get another group shot after they all shed so I can compare them!
I understand - I actually get "snake anxiety" dreams regularly where I've screwed up horribly somehow XP
They are very easy to care for though! I'd say easier than a cat or dog, but the main difference is cats and dogs can usually tell you when they're not feeling well or want something, vs a snake you have to know what to look for.

Nope! I mean I know it looks like that, but what was going on was it just sort of stuck it's head up and opened its mouth for a few seconds while I was looking at the babies, and I was able to angle my camera directly over it and snap a pic before it closed up and went back to slithering about XD
