Here's a (sloppy) ode to my three favorite artists that I did last night and tonight. Quick sketch, colors over the sketch, then inked with a brushpen. Each of these took 1-2 hrs. I kinda tried to draw in their style but it's hard to switch from one to the other! It's a weird hybrid between theirs and mine now.
I have many artists who's work I admire but if I had to pick three, it would be these! I'm sure you know them! (you'd better!!!!)

M'enfin ! Gaston the unemployed hero ^^ All the comic of this character can't age, I always take pleasure to read again his story :)

Oh, i've seen the comics too. There was this Spanish magazine (videogames, comics, etc) where i first read about many European comics: Spirou, Asterix, Lucky Luke, Tintin and Mortadelo y Filemón, a Spanish comic... My dad used to have a collection
Unfortunately, times were changing, Globalization happened and within a few years these comics vanished and were replaced by DC and Marvel >_>

So yeah, they take Franquin's exact drawings and manage to make them look flat and horrible? That's a good job they did there. I would've preferred seeing bad drawings that were animated, at least. So what is wrong with comics? Why does every good comic have to be made in a TV series and every good TV series have to be turned into a movie? Ok I know the answer.

On a similar note, I'm deathly affraid of the new Looney Tunes. The 'updated' design flushes the old charm down the toilet.
