A wonderful reference sheet featuring my Sawsbuck character, August, that I purchased as a commission from the incredibly patient and punctual  JamKitsune! She has yet to upload this to her own portfolio, but I can only assume that it'll happen eventually.

Originally, August was conceived as a character to utilize in a vore roleplay; however, I eventually grew fond enough of him while expanding his personality there that I wanted to get artwork drawn of him, and from this point onwards I intend to use him as my persona as a further attempt to integrate myself with the community here, and also to have a baseline OC that I can implement in future commissions. Plus, I haven't been able to find a feral Sawsbuck image that supplies them with human mannerisms, so I eventually caved and decided to create one myself!

Biography: An unusual specimen amongst his kind, August is a Sawsbuck afflicted with a rare disorder that causes his internal seasonal compass to point in the opposite direction that it should, resulting in his forme shifting to become the reverse of the surrounding environment. Shunned for this difference by the other members of his species, August was forced into a life relative solitude, constantly migrating separately from his herd and by extension the rest of his kind in search of matching weather conditions. Due to his innate connection to the seasons and his flipped perception of them, he suffers from near constant seasonal depression and relies on bonds with others to retain a positive attitude.

Despite his unsteady upbringing, August is a compassionate and understanding, empathetic soul, always doing his best to accept the differences of others on account of his previous experiences and own disparities. This includes the concept of predators having to consume others for their own survival; he has a high tolerance for stressful situations, but values honesty and empathy, and isn't beyond snapping at others in circumstances of strife, particularly towards individuals that ignore the plights of others and belittle their unique traits. Eventually, he learned to embrace what makes him divergent, and is always enthusiastic to try new things. Among these quirks is the atypical ability to stand and walk on exclusively his hind legs unassisted, something that he picked up through copious experimentation. He has a fondness for human food and a knack for entertainment, doing what he can to cheer up and appease others.

August uncovered a profound fascination with being eaten alive following an encounter with an uncertain Garchomp that found themselves unwilling to take his life. As a prey Pokemon by nature, he is more than willing to offer himself as a meal for starving predators in their time of need and appreciates the intimate sensations of closeness and safety the practice can provide, and is particularly fond of harmless teasing. He is also a capable predator himself, however, and occasionally enjoys a full stomach after a fulfilling chase, or sheltering and transporting someone vulnerable to the elements.

When August isn't busy satiating his hunger by encapsulating other Pokemon snugly within himself, his favourite foods include raisins (alone or in cookies), ice cream, pizza, and nuts. His efforts to sample many aspects of human culture has given him a particular fondness for coffee, and in addition to being able to walk like them, he is fully capable of conversing with people as he is perfectly fluent in human speech. Honing the skills that make him unique in comparison to the rest of his brethren has uncovered a passion within him for entertainment, and he is particularly adept at dancing; specifically tap dancing, which is made all the easier by the natural solidity of his hooves. As such, he dreams of being in the spotlight one day in spite of being a Pokemon and is most interested in the Pokemon musicals hosted his native region of Unova, although acting and contests are also latent fixations of his.
