Last thing for the day! Just a little entry of some travel magazine of the town where all my characters live in, Pleasant River! Hope you guys enjoy and remember some key places, they’ll affect some stories later!
—————————————————————
Welcome to the suburbs of Pleasant River, a cool, heavily forested oasis in the middle of the humid Rag’s Valley. Here, Pleasant River runs strong from the Blue Mountain Range that lies just 40 miles West of town, with a highly popular ski resort nestled in between the Ursoni Peak and Montaña Lupita. During the Spring and Summer, cool off or rock-jump in the cool and refreshing river and paddle out and hang out in the water of Lake Noir. Despite its name, it is known for its crystal clear water and beautiful nature and the distant view of the Blue Mountains, known for their dark blue shade and their soft and round peaks!
But what about the town? Surely it can’t match those natural wonders! Well, you are wrong! It was voted “Most Charming Town to Settle In” by readers of HomeLook Magazine and awarded “Greatest Small Town to Visit” two years in a row by US Paradiso Travel Magazine! The town itself is a suburban small town, but shares more charm than most major cities! Most of the town has stayed faithful to its roots by retaining its 1950s and 1960s heyday aesthetics and looks, with a faithful family diner known as Silver Screens Dining & Entertainment, a soda and ice cream shop known as Tex’s Soda Shop and Ice Cream Parlor, and a drive-in restaurant and theater called Benny’s Drive-In Grill & Shakes. However, on the East side of town is the University of Rivers-Mouth, with the East side of Pleasant River having modern apartments, restaurants, and shops, with Pleasant Rivers Outlets being a five minute walk from Rivers-Mouth’s campus. The town is also a good resting place before heading North to the thrilling Darings Fair or East to the beautiful roller coaster and garden oasis that is Berrin’s Park.
Just visiting isn’t enough for you? There are many different places to settle down in, so we’ll narrow it down to three! Of course, for younger folks and college students, there is River-Mouth Apartment and Dormitories Complex, with affordable renting options and special offers to lower the price whether you are attending college or not! One of the best neighborhoods is the gated community of Noir Lakeshore, with modern homes beginning at $600,000, with such amenities as tennis courts and two pool centers, as well as lake beaches and boat ramps! Of course, if you want the taste of suburbia, one of the most popular is Birch Park, a calm neighborhood on the other side of the lake as Noir Lakeshore. With only one community pool and one little lake pier, the charm and more affordable yet spacious and modern housing is a bargain for families and new home-owners!
However you visit or stay in Pleasant River, enjoy the time! This is once again, a beautiful oasis in the heart of Virginia, a glimpse back to the 50s age, a modern college town with bustling life, and a wonderful place to live! No matter what, you’ll miss it every time you leave!
