Well, I had a bit of a break from drawing, so... time to fix that a bit ^^;

Recently I've been getting myself hyped for Monster Hunter Rise (which I plan to buy for my birthday in a few months) and so I've been doing what any "normal" person would do in this situation: looking through the Wikia and reading up on all the monster there :P. Like I said, like a "normal" person...

And all this looking through the wiki resulted in me getting a few ideas of my own. One of those turned into this lovely creature.
Meet the Spined Blight-Drake.

Distantly related to the True Dragons, this member of the Drake Subfamily is a swamp-dwelling, venom-spewing predator with a nasty attitude. Its neck, back, and arms are covered in long spikes that discourage larger predators from biting down on him. On each side of its head, there are two huge muscle sacks that store a powerful neurotoxin that it can spew in a short-range cone of miasma. On top of that, it also possesses venom glands in its jaws. Along with a row of flesh-tearing teeth in each jaw, this drake also has jagged, bony pseudo-teeth that further aid it in piercing through the toughest of hides. Once the drake pierces through the skin of its victim, the venom glands release the venom directly into the wound, much like a komodo dragon.
The bright orange head of the blight-drake serves as a way to intimidate would-be rivals and potential threats. It is highly advised to stay as far away as possible from this tyrant of the swamps.
