This little guy was created using wire, fur, polymer clay and glass beads for the eyes. He isn't anything in particular, other than an experiment. He took a little while to make, but I like how he turned out :)

I'm thinking I might and take them to RBW. It didn't take much material and it was made with stuff left over from commissions, so it cost me nothing ^^ I don't know if I'd do them on a commission basis though as it's not worth ordering specific fur in.

So cute! And what a great idea! Y'know, his head reminds me of the heads of these shoulder-dragons at the Renaissance festival that have a cable attached to it .. with which you can turn the head and make it bob and whatnot. Adds a bit of realism, and the cable is nicely hidden.

That particular cable system is actually trademarked by http://www.fantasypuppet.com/, and he's pretty rabid about protecting his invention, understandably, since it's how he makes his living.

Good find! I bought one of these a looooong time ago when he was taking commissions right there at the ren fest. It was like their first year there. Now it's outrageously popular, and custom jobs are restricted to what's available on the website form. Which means no white. At all. :(

Really??? I'd think white would be one of the easier/more common colors for him to get....white rabbit fur is outrageously common. Weird, and bummer. :c

Early on, they couldn't do white because the paint wasn't opaque enough to hide the color of the clay or something. Nowadays, I dunno what the deal is. Plenty of white fur out there, fake or otherwise, it's just not an option in their pull-downs on their order site. :(

Huh. I'd think a decent coat of primer would take care of that. Then again, depending on how dark the base clay color is, white IS kind of a pain in the butt to get to cover decently.

Personally I think these would sell like hot cakes, especially at a Con like RBW

Do you plan on making more in different varieties?

If I do make them to sell (which I probably will) I'll try to make each one unique, so there will be plenty of different ones around. I'd like to experiment with different head shapes and paw styles as well as species :3

I'd have to think about that, as I don't think it's something worth ordering custom fur for, but I could offer them up with whatever left overs I have lying around.
