I made a life-changeging decision by switching from juice in tetra packs, to juice in glass bottles.

When comparing pet bottles, tetra packs and glass bottles, I could only come to the conclusion that the glass bottles ARE the better choice. To be fair, tetra packs use storage space more efficiently because of their quadrangular shape BUT:

When it comes to recycling, tetra packs don't seem much better than pet bottles. Tetra packs are made from layers of multiple materials, namely cardboard, aluminium and "PLASTIC". So if you want to recycle a tetra pack you have to separate the different layers first, and even after that, a tetra pack will not necessarily become a tetra pack again. Tetra packs and pet bottles are trapped in a cycle of DOWNCYCLING, they can't be "resurrected" as the same product over and over again. GLASS BOTTLES CAN. :D

Aside from that: Our supermarket offers returnable glass bottles. You return them, get a discount on your next buying, and the returned bottles will be cleaned and refilled. It's way better for nature in my opinion ^^

So: Glass bottles are the winner for me.
