After one turmoil filled winter I’ve got a new layout table built and the terrain loosely setup. In no time this layout is going to feature 90s and early 2000s CSX freight trains duking it out with the south Birmingham, Alabama foothills. After everything is painted and laid of course!

This would be my third layout in the span of 15 years. I had to dismantle the old one due to a living situation issue. I built the table for this iteration just last Friday and began track and terrain work today. It’ll probably be till early autumn till it looks significantly better.
