Lucky's heart almost jumped out of his throat when he saw a full-grown bear hobble into his shop. It didn't break down his door... it just... used its mouth to turn the handle.

"Ahh, jeez! You almost gave me a heart attack-" Lucky stopped himself as he recognized the fur markings of this bear. "Sarge?"

The bear looked up at him and nodded. "Grrr growl grrrr?"

"My... my bear speak isn't very good... but uh... yes, I can help you!"

The bear's eyes widened with joy as Lucky went to the back room. Almost immediately, he came back with a vial. "Always have spares around in case of emergencies!" He gave the bear the potion.

Guzzling the potion down, Sarge felt his body begin to swell outward. He found it easier to stand on his hind legs again as he rose up. Lifting his hands, Sarge was excited to see that his thumb was growing back -- but he then realized his fingers were getting wider, and his pinky was disappearing. While Sarge's nose stretched outward, he glowered at Lucky. "WHY am I turning into a hippo?!"

"Hippo transformation potions! I always keep them in case of emergencies!" Lucky said proudly. "And you're a good friend, so I'll let you have this one on the house!"

"I wanted a potion to turn back to a werewolf, not turn me into a hippo!" Sarge protested as his snout rounded out.

"Oooooooooooooh... sorry, Sarge." Lucky said, scratching his chin. "I thought you said 'turn me into a hippo' and not 'I'm getting as fat as a hippo'."

"Thaaaaaaanks." Sarge rolled his eyes. "Now that simile is LESS of a simile and MORE of a fact!"

Lucky looked down at Sarge's belly and smiled. "You ARE fatter, though. I know how much you enjoy gaining weight."

Sarge scratched his head. "I mean... thanks for the help, really... but you're the third alchemist that told me that today.... I'm starting to see a pattern here."

"A fairly obvious one, I might add." Lucky chortled, giving Sarge's belly a pat.
