Dragon Lord
A small ballpoint pen piece that was started a year ago to test a different paper for these types of drawings. I really like the paper which I normally use because the surface is perfect for ballpoint pen drawings and it has a nice faint tone as well. The only downside is that it's really thin and needs to be handled carefully.
The paper I tried here is really sturdy, but sadly it's too smooth and bright colored for my liking, so I'll need to keep looking for better options.
The character depicted here is a dragon, the idea was to make him look like a member of a highly advanced race and merge both sci-fi and fantasy elements together. The original ballpoint pen drawing is completely black and white. The colors, subtle gradients, and glowing effects were added digitally.
