well, I noticed that in Heart Gold and Soul Silver the female's ears seem to be a lot longer than they were in Diamond and Pearl, almost to a point that there's very little difference in length between genders. At least as far as I can tell

The most noticeable place to see the difference is with the back view sprites Since all the Gen IV games share the same one

I was going by the HG and SS sprites, where the ear length has barely any noticeable difference, because I think Sneasel looks better with a long ear, personally. I think Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum are the only games where there really is a noticeable one

Kinda noticable to me...

But yeah, I kinda like the long feather, but it makes more sense that a female should have a short one to hide while watching her egg(s)
