First of all, I also have to second most of the comments here... epic! ^^
Yeah, this can be called epic indeed and that's because the whole dynamic, the poses, the heat, the muscles, all of it is quite epic.
It is cool to have some kind of desktop wallpaper... maybe that was the idea behind the commission.

But the horizontal angle does imply movement - in this case: movement to the right!
It's as if the three warriors were about to strike against a common enemy.
You've done some fine effects with all the "glowy stuff" as well. Tattoos, bracelets and other stuff glows really nicely.
And like I said before... the background (with the fire explosion) might look "simple" at first... but it's a helluva great expression of HEAT and FIRE!
Fire and flames! This is intese... they are all engulfed in flames, hehehehe.
And the heat is pretty great!
My personal favourite spot is under Zephere's left armpit (not the arm with the sword) because I like how that bright light shines there and it's cool how the outlines of the character is turning yellow and white by all the highlights.

Believe me XD you´re not totally wrong about the desktop wallpaper thingy XD although of course, the screen of the client has a long width format, but that was one of the objectives for sure, and it came out good enough to work as one : D
Working in this commission was hard for sure, not because of the level of details, more like because there´s so many sources of lights, both strong and lower and yet I must respect those lights presences to be added in front of a strong light, the explosion ^^º there was references of people having an explosion behind and I could see some ideas of how to added on the characters, some of that was adding more flash lighting effects at some parts of the body to create some sort of depth, like the arm print of Zephere which you were talking about : D
Was afraid that I might not catch up the logics of the shading and lighting effects here, but I think it worked good enough to bring it up in this pic. I hope I can get better later on with possible points that I might´ve missed XD
