It's not really the years, but the skills and abilities one has that defines a 'class' in Chronicles of Asharah, if the term 'class' is the correct descriptor. Right now, I'm developing the idea of along the lines of "Overlord" anime, manga, and light novels.
In truth, I'm glad you think along those lines, Gildedtongue. I've argued with so many DMs that 100 years is enough time and life experience for a traveling elf to, at the least least, reach Level 10 in their chosen class before Session 0. Especially considering, that most rpgs I've played (mainly D&D Forgotten Realms) claim that elves reach adulthood around 100 years of age, which demands they have worldly experience prior to being declared adults.
Sadly, those DMs always disagreed, citing "party power balance," and "game balance." That's main reason I dropped out of D&D, and started creating my own worlds and characters.

Well, I think raw numbers don't always give a completely accurate scale. Like in D&D, some elves can still be literal children at 50, so while they might have more time to understand such things, they might not have the maturity to actually fully grok a lot of ideas. Humans being a species that burns brightest, but quickest, as opposed to the slower smolder of elves, and that sort.
I know. It's a combination of mental and physical maturity. It is as you say, some races develop slow/quicker than others. Sadly, Humans are often regarded as the 'baseline,' and not the 'exception.' That's why I like how I've turned Humans into the exception, in The Chronicles of Asharah, and not the baseline rule.
