I attempted to draw some food porn for my paranormal webcomic, My Magic Grandpa @ http://www.mymagicgrandpa.com
This page won't be posted until late August but I was really proud of how I drew the food so I'm posting it now, and this account seemed more appropriate for it.
Speaking of hummus I have a bunch of frozen chickpeas and a jar of tahini, I should really try to make some myself some time soon. It'd also be neat if I could make tabouli salad the way I like it, too many restuarants disappoint me by making it basically nothing but cilantro and tomatoes but for it to be a proper tabouli imo it needs the wheaty bits to balance out the texture and flavor, maybe some carrots and green onions too. Too much cilantro by itself just isn't great :[

Your illustration is gorgeous. I thought you had taken a photo of the salad (having made it yourself+ and spliced it onto the drawing. love it
I make a tabbouleh variation that uses couscous instead of bulgur wheat , parsley instead of cilantro, tomatoes, garlic, grated carrot and mint dressed with olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt and freshly ground pepper. I love the stuff. *hugs*
