I start the day by protesting - for up to an hour - that I am, in fact, awake. I then proceed to begrudgingly drag myself down the stairs toward the coffee maker.
I should note that I haven't yet started the coffee maker. I'm just staring at it, willing it to produce that precious bean juice.

Well, for me, when I have something I can kinda autopilot myself into as my brain is tricked into believing it's daytime by the overhead lighting that helps. Dunno how that would work for an artist.
