Jazz Jackrabbit is a character from the popular side scrolling video game from Orange. This was my first attempt at an 'on model' suit and also part of a duo with his brother Spaz from the sequel. Spaz was made by a long time friend and is not pictured here.

Jazz was built the old fashioned way on a carved foam block, eyes were printed out via Photoshop and covered with plastic. I see out of the muzzle which is color match dyed reticulated foam. The gun and accessories are spandex covered foam (gun was a slice from a Fun Noodle). To make him proportionally correct we had to scale him up. Feet weigh in at several pounds each, the bottoms are 1/4" rubber and have recessed pads. The 30" ears (taffeta lined) makes Jazz about 9' 4". So tall, his ears caught a chandelier at CF10, which dates this suit at about 10 years old. Jazz was my second suit. He won first place in the Advanced Division at CF10.
