Guys... I think we broke him....
What started out as a silly way to frustrate Blaze kinda ended up with a thought experiment as to what even makes a gender. While writing it, I found myself in the same mental sinkhole! Because at its most basic, it feels like it counts. But it also feels like it.... shouldn't? Does it matter how the person wound up in the wrong gender? Does it only count in certain situations? What even constitutes a gender to start with??
I can see why this is so baffling for people going through it. I'm just pissing off a comic character and it's ruining MY mind. I can't imagine having to actually figure it out from the other side!

i would agree. but it got me thinking. Ive seen parents out there talking about their 3 year old transitioning. now you know its the parents making them do it because what 3 year old even comprehends gender let alone what they are inside? So if that kid grows up and decides they don't feel like they are the right gender and decide to transition, does that make them a fake trans since they weren't BORN into the wrong gender? they were artificially made into the wrong gender...
I mean, my mind kinda switches between the two, but logically, my body is male, even if my thought process may turn more female at times.
Therefore it's...weird. Any pronouns pointed at me, he/she/'hey you' will grab my attention and won't cause issues.
The moment I'm called cute/handsome/adorable on the other hand, my brain starts to lag and fritz cause I don't equate them to myself in any sense.

Yeah, it's certainly a quandry.
That said, in a dream that was excessively vivid, if not just outright somehow my brain connecting across dimensions (Only way i can explain it.) with some other universe version of me, and God Damn that was an experience. Hence why I have a massive amount of vagina envy.

More like genderfluid. If he's born as a male and was accidently transformed into a female and isn't comfortable in that form.
They're still their primary gender just not comfy in the opposite one. One of my favorite late authors David Eddings did a skit on that
A sorcerer Belgarath by name, shape shifted into form he always saw his wife take on. Only to accidently change into the female variant of that shape
Talking about how hard it was to think straight as his body got used to the flood of hormones and then changed back to his male form
