Introducing....Kat the Gorochu!! :D
This form officially REPLACES MY RAICHUSONA! I have officially evolved!!
Gorochu is the long-lost EVOLUTION to Raichu! That's right, Pikachu, who evolves into Raichu, was supposed to THEN evolve into Gorochu! However, physical space limitations on the original GameBoy games forced GameFreak to remove 39 Pokémon from the roster. While no front sprite nor artwork is known to date, a rear sprite was actually created, and an interview with the original designers confirmed that Gorochu had fangs, and two horns (which, looking at the sprite, appear to be a larger horn in the middle, with a smaller horn in front of it, not one to each side, as was often speculated prior to the discovery of the rear sprite. "Goro-goro" is the Japanese onomatopoeia for thunder - eg. you would see this written in a manga near a thundercloud. Hence the name Gorochu was chosen. The designers say that Gorochu was supposed to look very strong, like a god of thunder.
I went with a more dragon-like body shape for my Gorochu form. Raichu typically has a dragon-like underbelly and wide hips which are attached to the sides of the torso, but his underbelly pretty much stops short of the rump. I made my Gorochu form have an underbelly that carries all the way through to the tail.
I will be using this in an upcoming reference sheet, but I was too excited not to post it right away!! X3
Generally I will be seen in Gorochu Libre attire. An alternate version to show my markings: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41663727/

Thank you very much! One thing that always bugged me about Gorochu art was the side-by-side horns. The interview with the original creators mentioned two horns, but didn't specify how they were aligned, and in the original beta sprite, it looks like they are more like how I have drawn them. :3
