I made a new head base for a half-scale version of Ortha. The head base was 3d-printed with PLA filament. Ears and teeth are made with flexible TPU.

How many holes I use mostly depends on what I want to do with it (a hand puppet does not have to have that many - for a fursuit I try to position them where the fur can be stretched over the hole) - for a fursuit head base I prefer to have 1-2cm diameter holes - the space between the holes is usually at least 5mm.
