Ten thousands years ago the planet was under Elder God's control, until the Precursors (ancient extinct race) imprisoned him. He had a lot of followers, called Demons, he gave them eternal life and special abilities. But the most of them were destroyed. Only Sapphire, Neiagath & Amata are the demons, who survive and still remember that epoch. The rest were natives or aliens from the other planets stucked on the current one and turned to the Demons by artificial technology. Since all civilizations destroy themselves because of their greedy, selfishnes and wars for resources, that God wanna control minds of all sentient beings. His Demons want to free their master for that purpose.
