People have been bonking me to put up my music, too. So alright... I'll try it.
I used to be known a long time ago as a 'band' called Drakonic. This is one of the songs from my Out of Darkness CD.
This particular song is very very old... I made it well over a decade ago.
All of my music has a cinematic quality to it. I make music as if it were background music for a movie scene following along with whatever is happening. And, indeed, some of my music has actually been used for this purpose. But most of it is written for scenes that don't actually exist. A movie score without a movie.
Much of my music is also improvisational to varying degrees. I don't play from sheet music or anything like that. I just make stuff up.
Loss of War is completely improv. I made the whole thing in two takes... took about 10 minutes, as I remember. Jace showed me a picture he'd done, and it really inspired me for a scene.
If you listen carefully to the music, you might notice it slows down every so often while I think about what to play next. I literally made this whole song up in real time. I was very inspired. Honestly, I don't think I could play the song a second time. It just... came out.
Here's the scene...
A young fox boy has been playing in the woods. At the beginning of the song, he's walking home to his village. As he gets closer and closer to home, he starts seeing increasingly ominous signs... some broken branches... some smoke off in the distance.
And then there's a critical point in the song where the young fox comes over the crest of the hill overlooking his village... only to find that it's been burned to the ground. He runs down the hill and through the remnants of his village, finding the slain and charred remains of everyone he knows... all of his friends... all of his family... no one was spared. No one escaped.
Toward the end of the song, he finds his father's burnt corpse and collapses, sobbing. And then takes his father's sword from the body and contemplates it.
The ones who did this will pay.

I love this song. I'm still amazed you did this nearly all this in real time. Inspiration is a powerful thing. And the parts where you slowed down fit in well. If you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have noticed.
Nice work! I'm a big music fan, even been trying to set up a home studio in my room. Waiting on the keyboard, and some drivers that support my OS..O.o
