I like both of them - possible subconscious influence? Grunewald's demonic creatures are so striking, especially the eyes. It always fascinated me how alive and compelling they are. And I actually animated some of Schongauer's woodcut demons in college project (cut out animation . . . . waaaaay pre-Flash).
