Upon hearing the idea that his head would be separate from his body, Impax the Antelope was a bit nervous. But, I reassured him that everything would be okay. I even let him take my head off first, and show him that I could still move around. He was ready to give it a try, and I told him, "Okay Impax, I'm going to put my dragon hands on each side of your head, and give it a slight tug." And when I pulled, to his surprise, it came off real easily. But then he said, "Hey, this isn't that bad."
I gave his disconnected head a snuggle to my chest, and he liked it. He finally felt relaxed and so much at ease that he closed his eyes. After snuggling, I reconnected his head, and gave his full body one last hug.
This one's probably the most shocking piece I ever made, because it's somewhere between cute and creepy. But it was really enjoyable, and it's nice to do something really out there. I'm delighted to make a picture with an interaction between me and Impax, because he is a character that I adore so much, and he means a lot to me.
