This picture was an art request by Anon aka Kangaroo.
The scene shows “Dimetro” (green dimetrodon) and “Deroco” (purple T-rex) standing next to each other in front of their brand new limo.
If you have any business with the both of them, something should be veeery wrong… *grins* ^^
Note 1: I really don’t like drawing modern clothing, especially suits. But this picture gave me a great chance to practise on that weakness of mine.
Note 2: I’ve used a photo of Daniel Craig for “Dimetro’s” pose and suits design.
Note 3: “Deroco’s” head design is highly inspired by the drawings of
kaa - I just love his dinosaur drawings.

... oh, and by the way: I very much KNOW that a dimetrodon is NOT a dinosaur! ^^

Though I'm on holidays, I've planned the next weeks with friends and vacations. So, right NOW is not the best time. And you said something about "help".... well, I can provide "help" almost every time/always. Yeah, this is somthing I have always time for. ^^
But I won't "draw" it all for YOU!!
If you want ideas, help, inspiration or references... browse my galleries (I advise to search through my homepage --> http://reptile-universum.de/ ) and maybe you'll find something.
Or you show me stuff and ask me for advise, help or an opinion. ^^

Thanks very much, buddy. *hugs* I was almost afraid to upload this one... why? Well, most people watch and "love" me for my REPTILE stuff. There are people who do NOT appreciate another attempt in characters or style. My FAN ART or GIFT ART was never thaaaaaaaaaat famous. So, and THIS here is really sooo different from my FANTASY works.... I was afraid people would "hate" it. ;)
But I'm very happy to be wrong!

Well, I think your ideas and thoughts about the footwear are equal to the ideas WICHT had in mind.
Btw, a friend of mine, who also appreciates nice feet and good footwear, was so amazed by this picture, that HE chose to use the "spats" for his characters, too.
It is like YOU said: it is a shoe and NOT a shoe. :-D And that was a cool idea by WICHT. He wanted them to have shoes but no real ones.
I think, it was a good idea. The feet are sorta protected but you still have their claws!!
Thanks for your kind words. I'm happy ya like it!

... somehow I know that'd come. Hehehe... ha ha. Very funny. ^^ Well, nevermind. But in some cases, it really IS easier to draw naked characters. The muscles help you by "forging" the anatomy and proportional structure.
I always draw a naked raw model and then clothe it. ^^

Yay Kaa! him too.
I can just imagine how much trouble and damage the back-sail and tail (etc.) features give the clothes and closures necessary to keep the jackets and pants closed and hanging neatly on anatomy like this, which is why human clothing looks so funny/silly/anachronistic in images like this, but can at times be sexy.
It's quite possible the clothing IS a bother to close/fasten, and that gansters/mobsters/big businessmen have servants to do the necessary buckling, velcro fastening, buttoning, etc., needed to make the clothing fit over the tail and back spines/plates/sails/etc. features of a saurian anatomy.
In my vision of a dinosaurs evolved world however, I'd have gone for a non-victorian and non-prudish evolution to society, as well as one without a religious fanatacism. So clothing morays would be very relaxed and primitive, and natural scaly splendor would be shown off and accentuated, with ornamentation and pigmentation used mostly, and chainmail and leather typically being the only clothing.

Well, fortunately the backsail is NOT visible here... har har har.
And yes... it is really hard to clothe an anthro character and make it look believable. BUT these characters here are not tooooooooooooooooo "animal-ish". :D They're pretty humanoid.
You think they have some servants who help them put the suits on? ;) Well, maybe... ^^
Your clothing style is more or less similar to my "RULUS-REPTILIAN-FASHION":

Birds of a feather do what together again?
Great minds do what alike? Anyway, a natural idea grows out of nature and obvious thinking, as well as from looking at bad ideas and societal mistakes and what would be great to have if things could be done over again by another species. So even Robert Heinlein in "Number of the Beast" chose a society with looser morals (meaning less uptight sexual hangups and clothing prudishness) as well as with a fairly equitorial climate, so again the need for coverings was minimal, encouraging more body exposure. Among squishy grublike humans, but at least the basic idea of natural living with less of this pretentious costuming and sexual hangup stuff was clear to a classic SF writer decades ago.
