If I am being honest, while I like the stuff that has been made thus far. I kind of think this punching animation could do with more 'pre action'. Say if you were going to punch you would pull back before releasing the pent up energy. In that action it makes the punch feel more believable in terms of the power used.
A great example is that of swinging with a sword, you'd rear it back a lot and use the flow to help gain speed and energy. Here I think it might be a bit too quick and may need a bit more of that.
Hope this helps!

I also have to agree with this comment, when punching you would instead keep both feet firmly planted on the ground for support into the punch otherwise you might stumble forward while giving it.
If you were not looking for large powerful punches and strikes in this case I would recommend looking at boxing matches. But even then they have minimal 'pre action' in some cases.
Ideally for this pose to summarise both feet would be firmly planted on the floor and slightly bent at the knees to telegraph to the eye you are in a 'fighting pose'.
I know this may sound like a lot of work but in the end I think the result will be worth it.
Again I do hope this helps if you are reading this Sephra! I also have to thank you Lobogris for pointing that out, I kind of forgot about that detail. x.x

I do completely understand that a rear up might imply more force. However for this we are working within the confines of our own game. The animation had to be the same amount of frames as the last one to not throw off any hitboxes, sound effects, and to make sure her punch was at the same speed as the enemies(Because then they would punch faster and combat would start to become jank). Because of all of this we had to sacrifice Amber's wind up animation.
As for foot lifting up. I'm not actually sephra so I can't say on that one.
We do hope you like some of the animations that are coming up soon tho, and thank you for letting us know what you think.

Whoops forgot to mention. Sephra is looking over the animation to see what we can do. We are hoping to keep her a bit more grounded, and we are gonna see if we can give her a wind up without messing up any of the timing. He even sent me a little sentence that he wanted me to put for yall
"Thanks for the advice guys, going to try and alter the re-do where I can to fit that better!"
