Amber and Malki
I actually did this illustration for the comic and it's featured in there. But, I wanted to share it because it's the only FULL image of Amber and Malki that I've got
Anyway, Amber's a sweetie and contrasts sharply to Boomer's tiny counterpart, Malki...who's always moody, it seems. He's actually a bit like Fox, except much more naive. They both look up to and admire their older siblings and still have a long way to go to catch up. But, there's nothing wrong with being youthful, after all
One more thing about Malki, I told my nephew that this was his character, the one that most reminds me of him. He was overjoyed at that! They have a similar sense of style and are both prone to bouts of being temperamental I have another character coming up eventually who will be like one of my other two remaining nephews (he's excited about that and was a little jealous to hear that the oldest had a character, but he didn't so, I had to fix that ) But, yeah, he reminds me of my eldest nephew. ...silly boy

both are very cute - i especially love Amber´s appearance here. She seems to feel a little odd with that boy that close to her. *chuckles* i still remember the age when boys considered girls as weird/odd beings and vice versa. This picture relays this to me - as if both were thinking exactly that.
Well they will reconsider that soon enough. ^^

Indeed they will Thanks! Amber thinks Malki...hmm...I'm not entirely sure how she views him, but I know what he thinks of her. He's always trying to prove himself an adult, but there are still many things he has yet to learn...and several more that he just plain misunderstands
Awww! That is just so absolutely adorable! Hehe, the way they are standing here so close together, they have that sweet little thing of kids their age going on in their poses and expressions...
Amber: "He's kinda cute *giggle*"
Malki: "Why's she looking at me like that? I hope she keeps her cooties to herself..."

Yup, that's the one. He didn't originally start out that way, but I realize "Malki" sounds a bit like "Malachi", my nephew's name and my nephew can be so moody at times. Not so much with me, but with other people. ^_^ So, I decided to just go ahead and make Malki the character based off my eldest nephew
They start noticing differences even earlier on. Boys will play games that are "boyish" and exclude girls from them because they either find that girls aren't very good at them, or that girls just plain don't like to play them. While, on the other hand, girls play game/activities that are "girly" and exclude boys from them because either boys don't want to partake or the girls just flat out don't want them to play!
When it comes to romance, children tend to imitate adults. A little girl will understand that a household includes a mommy and a daddy and so she assumes the role of mommy and then has to recruit a male in the role of daddy as she recognizes that her father is indeed a boy. She doesn't understand the intricacies of marital life, she's just absorbing what she sees on the surface. Perhaps, daddy going off to work while mommy stays at home and tends to the children. She'll see mommy and daddy kiss here and there, but doesn't see the weight of that kiss by what follows in the bedroom. She takes what she sees and extrapolates from that and identifies role relationships by what is presented to her and vice versa

LOL! Thanks! I don't know, yet, whether or not Amber is a shy one. She's easily frightened, but I don't know about shy. And Malki...well, yeah, I guess he's a pretty cool kid
And yes, they're friends, but they have an odd, love/hate relationship...sort of...I think. I don't know if that's the right phrase...hmm...
