Scar is my hybrid Luxray, and he's got a story to him.
This handsome boy was hatched to a wild female Luxio who had indulged in a sort of one-night-stand with a handsome Mightyena named Fang. She was not interested in raising a half-breed kid, and abandoned him at two weeks old, not even bothering to give him a name. Because of his unusual appearance, no wild pokemon wanted to take him in, and he was mercilessly attacked at every turn. Over time, the wild pokemon started to call him "Scar" due to constant wounds he received, and that was accepted by all to be his name.
Over the first few years of his life, Scar learned how to survive in the wild; hunting for food, hiding from trainers, and defending himself using the move Ice Fang, which he had inherited from his father.
Scar was able to thrive on his own, and never had trouble avoiding trainers. That is, until he wandered into the makeshift camp of a trainer as night was beginning to fall. He walked right out in front of her right as she was lighting a fire for the night.
Of course, scar was instantly on the defense, ready to attack; and one of the trainer's pokemon, who was already out of his pokeball, jumped between the human and Scar, ready for battle. The trainer called out to her Mightyena: "Oh, calm down Fang, the poor thing's clearly just startled. No need to start a fight."
It didn't take Scar long to realize that he was standing in front of his father, and after an initial moment of shock, Fang was delighted to learn that he had a son. The two of them bonded that night, and the following morning Scar decided to join his father's team and travel along with the wandering Professor Silver. Spending time with Fang and Silver helped Scar to become confident in himself, and to understand that his unusual appearance was just one of the things that helped make him unique.
I will be making reference sheets for both Fang and Professor Silver.
