Young warrior and the veteran, Aztec, 16th century

Aztec’s pupil soldier was assigned to a senior soldier who was in charge of the guidance. The youth carried the additional supplies for the senior soldier during the march (However, during the long-distance expeditions they typically employed professional porters). Also they were paired on the battlefield to learn and teach military skills during the actual fighting.
