After describing how Domingo originated as a desert bandit before becoming Manic Undies Desert Fox, that got me in the mood to have him dust off his old bandit outfit for the first time in what feels like years...
As his design originated back in the days when I was still fascinated by trenchcoats and cloaks and long coats and the like, Domingo originally sported a long, beat-up white coat--a sort-of throwback to the long blue military coat I used to draw Dominic Wolff wearing for most of the early 2000s I suppose. The origin of Domingo's coat is unclear, but it's likely something he simply found or stole, and no matter how many times he loses it (be it during an adventure or thanks to his terrible luck at playing cards), he still somehow manages to get it back eventually--one way or another!
Also of note may be his rifle--while most Geoterrans, including Domingo's race, possess some innate magical abilities, Domingo carries an old but reliable and accurate lever-action rifle. While Domingo's race typically possesses fire magic (and Domingo himself is no exception), he's merely average in terms of using said fire powers, and instead prefers using a firearm.

Domingo is definitely a rifleman, and a pretty good shot at that--the significance of the lever-action rifle is actually somewhat personal, as when I was younger I was a pretty good shot with a Red Rider BB gun, one of the lever-action ones.
As for pistols... I'm sure he'd manage. While he favors the rifle, one doesn't become a bandit without learning to handle a variety of weapons. He might even have a revolver tucked somewhere in that jacket...

That is an interesting possibility, although I've always just imagined the rifle being of the standard bullet-firing variety, but more for show than actual combat. While I don't doubt his ability to kill should the need arise, he strikes me as the type to brandish the rifle and pop off expertly-placed "warning shots" but avoid actually causing much serious injury if possible--shooting a pursuer's belt so it breaks and they trip over the pants now around their ankles is often all it takes to slow them down enough to make a daring escape!
