Been a really long time since I’ve last drawn Astria, so here she is, but she isn’t alone this time. She’s talking to a common enemy among spirits and Spirit Guardians, a Reaper. Reapers and Spirits don’t get along, the same can be said for angels when it comes to the skull faced creatures. This Reaper in particular has known Astria for a long time, from means unknown. His name is Onyx and is the “Alpha” of Reapers, being the first created by Apex himself. Reapers take souls of those (primarily bad people) who are dead or on death’s bed to turn them into demons commonly known as “vessels.” Reapers have also been known to corrupt living spirits and make them something called “The Damned.” One could see how a Spirit Guardian, which protects spirits and those who are good would not be a fan of Reapers. They are masters in the art of violence and deception. Astria never ceases to be annoyed by Onyx and other Reapers.

Essentially, yes. Reapers are seen as being higher up on the food chain than a large majority of demons as well. It's not uncommon for Reapers to even be given forms of payment for taking the souls of certain people to make them slaves to other demons since unlike demons, they can control the final product of a vessel before it gains proper sentience. Onyx is next to royalty among demonic culture and books can be found on him and the nature of Reapers as a whole. Of course summoning him or any other of his kind must be taken with the upmost caution. They're not above backstabbing.
There's actually info on one trying to snare a Reaper into traps or prisons. Apex isn't exactly fond of having his subjects messed with, so in case either another demon or entity either try or successfully trap a Reaper, Apex will, as messed up as it sounds, make the Reaper kill itself via mind control before recreating it again. Reapers actually don't mind this process, though it is more tedious to get the Kindle back for Apex (the Kindle being the flames that they have for eyes which hold all their memories).
